My newborn baby wakes every 3 hours for feedings. He already eats 4oz of formula each time but he still wakes like clockwork. Is it alright to feed him the Enfamil Rest Full?
In my opinion, a newborn who wakes every 3 hours has one lucky mother. My 6 month old still wakes every three hours.
Enfamil Rest Full is another marketing scam aimed at desperate parents who will do anything to get their babies to sleep through the night, despite medical facts that it is very dangerous for newborns. Newborns should not sleep through the night. Many babies don’t sleep through until well over a year old. Furthermore, those formulas that claim your baby will sleep are nothing but formula with rice added to them. Bad for baby. Rice is constipating and will not necessarily help your baby sleep anyway.
Why not just continue to feed him when he is hungry?
What is your favorite 2- seater stroller? I would like one that is easy to maneuver. I also need a stroller that provides the option of attaching a baby car seat to it and my toddler can still ride at the same time.
Sit ‘n Stand Elite Stroller
I have a 3 yr old and Due in August.
I have researched so many strollers because I cant imagine my daughter walking beside the stroller like a sweet little angel.
I already bought it.
Not only can your toddler sit or stand comfortably but your infant car seat snaps right in just fine like other all in one travel systems. It also folds easy and is easy to set up.
I’m going to register for baby gifts & I wanted some insight as to what you really love for your baby!
What do you use the most and what is a total waste?
also, have you used glass bottles, the bumbo seat, or Method Organic baby products? If so what do you think of them?
BOPPIE!
I was just wondering if there’s a reason why you like coming into Y!A and answering people’s queries about baby names!
Thanks!
To be honest, I’ve always had an interest in names.I was one of those girls who was 10 & planning their family! Also, I have always made stories, so I constantly needed names.Even when I don’t write the stories, I generally always have a story in my head & need names lol. Also, names are apart of my core interests or are interlinked with them.History, culture, literature, words, children & family are all parts of names or names are crucial parts in them. So, my interests are interlinked
I first joined YA for school purposes, as I often answers that I needed on here & couldn’t comment as I wasn’t a member. I then ambled my way through the different sections, when I settled on baby names, as it is was one of the few things a person can do that was ‘pure’ if that makes sense. It’s innocent & fun.You can’t cause harm & you learn a lot. Also, I enjoy learning about names & the cultures.Overall, I like helping people & trying to help them find their perfect fit
I’m looking for some websites that offer unique baby items or baby t-shirts with cute little messages on them. I have a good friend that’s expecting a baby next month and I don’t want to get her something that everyone else will also buy, like receiving blankets or stuffed animals. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
There’s a website called Cafepress where you can find tons of t-shirts. Anything you’re looking for! I ordered some baby stuff before from a Cafepress store called Pink Plum. You have to type in the whole url to get to it: http://www.cafepress.com/pinkplum. I recommend this store all the time because they always have different things.
The store has a baby section and I ordered a onesie that said Baby McCutie. I also ordered the teddy bear that had the matching t-shirt. It was really cute.
Brands like Gymboree and Baby Gap…are full with cute baby clothes, but I find are a little overpriced. Is it really worth spending $10-25 for a tee shirt, just for it to be outgrown rather quickly, or ruined by the pesky stains of baby food?
Whats your thoughts?
The only way I will buy them is if they are on sale. Sometimes Gap has good sales. But I would never pay $10-25 for something that will only last a short time. Id rather buy the cheaper clothes so that I have more money to buy toys and what not. And I think if you were to ask the child if they wanted an expensive shirt or a toy they would pick toy.
When you were pregnant how many baby clothes did you stock up on? I know they grow fast and out grow their clothes really fast so how much should you buy? How much 0-3 and 3-6 and 6-12?
It is hard to get too much ahead of time as you don’t know what size they’ll be during different seasons. I’d definitely have some 0-3 on hand, and some newborn stuff (5-8lbs) on hand. Our son was 6 lbs 14 oz when he was born and not much fit him but the sleeper sacks for the first few weeks. I’d just make sure there are plenty of sleepers around the house, as that’s mostly what you’ll need those first few weeks, and you can gradually stock up as your baby starts growing. As a frame of reference (our son’s been in the 50th percentile and was born Sept 1st) He was in newborn for the first few weeks, 0-3 til mid october, 3-6 til mid February, 6-12 til now. Hope that helps!
Hello All,
I need to find a baby blanket pattern that is for crocheting that’s for beginners. I need it to be printable, no downloads, and no buying cause at the moment I have NO money! Please answer quickly for I want to make it for a baby that’s already been born but was born not too long ago. It’s a girl. SO…I need as much help as I possibly can get. I’ve been searching for about 2 months and still found nothing. I need help. HELP!!!!
This is a pattern I’ve been using. It is very simple. I do it while walking on the tread mill at my gym. I’ve made several of these, and actually sold a couple online. It uses bulky weight yarn and a 6.5 hook. I use Redheart Baby Clouds.
Chain 88.
Row 1 Double crochet, chain1, double crochet all in 5th chain from hook {skip 2 chain, work vstitch in next ch} across to last 2 chain, skip 1 chain, double crochet in last chain.
Row 2 Chain 3, turn. Work vstitch in each chain 1 space across, end double crochet in top of turning chain.
Repeat row 2 until blanket is as long as you want.
A vstitch is worked double crochet, chain 1, double crochet all in one stitch.
Talking the crib bedding sets.
Oh and it’s for a boy.
That or just send me a link to the baby bedding you think is cute for a little boy. In that case though we are trying to stay at $100 or less.
I would suggest that you skip the crib bedding and only buy a fitted crib sheet. Any other soft or loose bedding is a suffocation hazard and is linked to SIDS. this includes soft bumpers, pillows, quilts, toys, etc. If you want a bumper, get the breathable kind.
here’s what i like:
quick zip sheets:http://store.babycenter.com/product/6535.do

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2623582

If you think the baby needs a blanket, use a sleep sack. Halo makes really good ones. If you’re having a summer baby, you can probably skip it and just get footed sleepers instead (it is also a SIDS risk if the baby overheats at night). If you do get a sleep sack, cotton is not as hot as fleece. Make sure the room is kept at a comfortable temperature so the baby does not get too hot at night.
Save the money by not buying the useless and dangerous crib bedding set, and spend it on something nice (and useful!) for the baby instead, like an activity gym: http://www.tinylove.com/toy.aspx?toyId=32
