What sort of bedding is suitable for a baby?
As the UK is expecting a warm summer this year I am not sure what sort of sheet I can put on top of the baby in a moses basket. I see a lot of flannelette sheets but I thought they would be a bit heavy to cover a baby. Also, would it be okay to put the baby to bed in a full light cotton sleep suit with feet? Or is that too warm?

Rule of thumb is to put a newborn into one layer more of clothing than what you wear at night. I would swaddle my baby loosely in a blanket that the hospital used when I was there. I always put my baby in a sleep suit with feet. They don’t move very much at night, so that will keep them comfortable.
