If a baby is having a b-day party and baptisim together, do I get her 2 gifts?

My friend is having her babies baptisim and first birthday together. Am I supposed to get the baby 2 gifts?

since a b-day and baptism are 2 totally different things, i would get something like a cure little outfit or something for the b-day gift, (maybe even a gift card or something)
and for the baptism i would get something a little more special, like a pair of cross earrings, or a cross necklace, something that would reflect the religiousness of the celebration.

OR.. just get a card saying congrats for the baptism, write happy b-day in it and put some money or gift card in there.

good luck!

I wouldn’t. Just one decent gift is good.

I dont think so. I would just get one thoughtful gift and a card that the family can have as a keepsake.

No, one is enough. Unless you want to give the baby one big gift, then no.

I would just get her something reall special, I doubt the mother is expecting 2 gifts from anyone except maybe close family. If you are the godmother or her bestfriend then maybe ;)

I would do 2 gifts. Depending on how close you are to the family.

In my opinion… I think if it was me… I’d bring her 2 gifts. I’d bring her something religious – like some nice rosary beads or a baby cross necklace, anything holy. And then a toy she can play with or an outfit…. I have 2 little ones myself and I would not be offended in the least if you only came with 1 gift (or nothing at all for that matter…) You don’t have to go overboard – small and inexpensive gifts are just as well as the big extravagant ones (and I think the small ones get more useage anyways!) but if I were buying for someone elses baby – I’d go with 2 gifts and also 2 seperate cards….

First of all, the baby couldn’t care less how many presents it gets–as long as it can play with the boxes and wrapping paper! I don’t think you should worry about getting two gifts for this child. One gift–appropriate for a one-year-old–is all you need to do. You can get two cards, though! One for the birthday and one for the baptism.
