What are your favorite baby products?

I’m going to register for baby gifts & I wanted some insight as to what you really love for your baby!
What do you use the most and what is a total waste?

also, have you used glass bottles, the bumbo seat, or Method Organic baby products? If so what do you think of them?

BOPPIE!

The Bumbo was Great!!! I didn’t even know about it until I got one as a gift! I even used it until my son was 1 o sit him in it to eat.

Changing tables are a waste! You’ll be changing on the floor, bed, couch, whereever!

I’ve heard great things about Burt’s Bees baby products!
Also I wouldn’t get a changing table that’s just a changing table. If anything, get one that is a changing dresser. That way when you no longer need the changing table, your child still has a dresser to use.

I have used Dr. Browns glass bottles and they are LOVE.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Method Organic products, I use them for my two year old and I would not clean my house with anything else. I had the bumbo seat and just thought it was ok..
I couldn’t live without my bottle / toy sterilizer.. play mat.. and I used my baby swing a lot.
I thought that the bottle warmer was a waste because its a lot easier and faster to put the bottle into a cup of hot water.
Good luck with your new baby!

Grins and Giggles baby lotion, preferably the milk and honey cent. It’s made my Gerber and I absolutly love it for my baby nieces, and also for myself ! The bumbo seat does wonders! It really does help the baby’s posture while learning how to sit by themselves. I would recommend it to anyone. I never tried glass bottles, but that sounds kind of dangerous, don’t you think?

Register for an Exersaucer. By the time your baby is 4-5 months this will give you hours of entertaining your baby.

~~California Baby Products ( shampoos, conditioners, lotions, diaper creams) They are GREAT and smell wonderful.

    ~~Love the Bumbo Seat.
    ~~Swing
    ~~Calming Vibrations Chair
    ~~Swaddle Blankets( life savers)
~~I used Playtex Drop-In Bottle Systems ( Target liners are cheaper then the Playtex liners)
~~The boppie pillow, was a waste for me even when I was breast feeding the 1st month, I just used a reg. pillow. She loves laying back in it now
    ~~LOTS of onsies
    ~~lots of zipper jammies
    ~~first aid kit
~~the pak-n-play is a great thing to have
~~baby Bjorn or any other carrier or sling
~~Graco Safety Seat with base…and the stroller attachment for the car seat.
thats all I can come up with right now..Good Luck & Congrats!!!! Have fun

**** DIAPERS—ask for lots of 1’s and some 2’s….you can buy the newborns as you go , since they can grow out of those fast.

I would die without a sling or carrier. I have a peanut shell, a moby wrap and a mei tai and I still use them with my 11 month old.

I got the on-the-go booster seat as a shower gift with my daughter who is now 2. I loved it. We are out and about a lot since we live near all our family and it made going to other people’s houses for dinner so much easier. Plus, I could use my own booster at restaurants if their highchairs looked unclean or if they were really busy and had no more highchairs available.
I bought the bumbo seat for my daughter when she was couple months old. I thought it was going to be great but then I realized my daughter’s legs were too big for the leg cutouts and she was very uncomfortable in it. My daughter wasn’t an overweight baby but she had a lot baby fat on her legs making her thighs a bit large. I gave it to my friend who had a baby with a sleeker body and they enjoyed it.

Burt’s Bees or California Baby bath products are AWESOME! They are both totally natural/organic and don’t have the synthetic, chemical smell. Also, I never used bottles (I breastfed) but I’m not sure if they even make glass bottles anymore? Maybe I’m wrong. You should definitely buy a well-built baby carrier. I’ve tried all sorts but the best one (didn’t hurt my back) is an Ergo (www.myfavoritebabycarrier.com). The Bumbo seat was pretty cool when I tried my friends out…but I never bought one. Try to avoid an over-abundance of clothes. Stick to the basics and you’ll be just fine!

A play gym! My baby LOVED it from very early on and is 6 mos now and still loves it. I’ve gotten great use out of it! I put a link to the kind we have below. Congrats and good luck!

these are a few of things i would NOT live without — his bouncer, swing n carrier! they kept him occupied n the carrier was very useful cos my son was demandin n i used to carry him around the house whilst i do the chores, even just to run down to the shop :)

O YE– n the steriliser n botle warmer.. i disagree with what a previous poster wrote. it came in very handy n esp now wen it comes to defrostin his food cos i dnt liek usin microwaves for his food xx
