The front swivel wheels are generally atleast two inches smaller than the rear wheels(and stationary front wheels of other comparable joggers), allowing for greater maneuverability.

On many models this also allows the stroller to fold up more compact, as the front wheel swivels perpendicular to the rear wheels, placing it flat against the underside basket.
