I am a single gal trying to climb out of debt….I have a limited income and hardly have anything left over after I get paid. I am really struggling. I have a large family & I keep getting invited to wedding showers, weddings, baby showers, graduation parties,birthdays, etc…I simply do not have the money for all of this! I can’t afford to keep buying gifts. What to do?
Maybe explain to your friends the situation you are in and be honest with them , im sure they will still want you there regardless of if you turn up with gifts or not. and if it upsets them, well they are not exactly a true friend afterall if all they want are the presents. You could make them a nice card with a nice verse inside which you can find what to say on the internet. I know i wouldnt mind if someone took the time to do that for me. Good Luck

Sometimes the water runs like the colour of rust. I’ve never had a problem with the washing until i put in my daughters baby clothes last week. Now all the white is dirty brown and all the pink is just as bad, i’ve rewashed them and soaked them in napisan, but it did nothing. And i dont want to put them back in washing machine incase it happens again. Most the clothes i wash are black so i wouldnt notice if it happened to them….
If you live in Australia where we have a problem with rust coloured water you can contact your local Water Board, explain the problem to them and they will actually bring you out a remedy to "unstain" the clothes. However, the trick is to keep the clothing wet until you get the cure. The actual products are :- Citric Acid and SodiumDithionite. If your water authority will not do this, try your local chemist/pharmacy. They also should be able to help you.
I’m about to make a flannel baby blanket with a satin trim, which also has a "flannel" backing. Can I bond a muslin or other thin material to the back for stability?
There are iron-on interfacings that you can purchase for just a dollar or so as you don’t need much for a baby blanket. These interfacings (also known as Pellon) come in different stiffnesses
so you can select what you want. It also is washable.

i know this, believe it or not babies grow quite rapidly up to 6 months old. so i would suggest buying a few pairs. make sure they are loose but not big as you do not want your child to look like he’s drowning in a pool of yarn. hehe. good luck picking out the clothes. have fun!
I am trying to figure out what the best size would be to knit a blanket for a baby stroller which could be used to cover the baby inside of the stroller’s&on the top in case of a windy day.
I always used bassinett size for my pram.
So i just found out i’m pregnant about a week ago.

When my son was a baby I got everything from Babies R Us and Target. When it came to baby gear anyway. Both sites show reviews of the products you’re looking at.
It may sound a little weird, but if you see something you like while you’re out (a mom pushing a really cool stroller) ask where she got it and if she’s happy with it. That’s honest first hand experience.
It’s good that you’re looking early though…waiting till the last minute isn’t good at all! (Like me calling my mom at 1 in the morning from the hospital to tell her that I needed her to go buy a Boppy…haha)
If I ever had a baby (which is kind of impossible) I’de want the kid to have some kind of crazy cool, off the wall, pretty/handsome, unique name. I’de like it to be unique, yet not difficult. Perhaps something simple. Do you have any suggetions?
